The great tailgating.....the friendliness of the people.....and the most classic of
all NFL venues is to be found here in Green Bay. Throw in a nine figure
upgrade and renovation of this hallowed ground and you have the elite venue
of the National Football League. The seating bowl remains as it has been for
decades....and the rest has been significantly improved. What was once your
very basic steel and concrete concourse has been turned into a virtual living
history of one of the sports' most renowned franchises with photos and
murals of the great moments and so much more....can we come back,

The first in the NFL retractable roof. This is a big, big stadium which boasts
superior design, great attention to public spaces, superb tailgating and great
fans who deservedly belong back in the ranks of NFL cities. Check out the
ribbon mural of "cattle brands" ringing the upper concourse, a testament to
the local culture and flavor of this region.

Is this heaven? No its Foxboro. Yet don't tell that to the Patriots fans who sat
in miserable Foxboro Stadium for decades, and have now been rewarded
with a new venue and three Super Bowl trophies. End zone lighthouse and
arched bridge are the signature elements to a gorgeous and modern venue
with all the amenities and fan comforts.

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND
BALTIMORE RAVENS
Set in the beautiful downtown Inner Harbor area, this beautiful stadium
perfectly compliments its sister stadium next door, Camden Yards. Tailgating
is abundant here, even in a downtown setting. The highlight of the inside
seating area is not one but two HUGE smartvision boards dominating each
end zone. Fan amenities, merchandise and food are plentiful in wide, colorful
concourses. All in all a showcase to modern NFL football!

Great fans show up in droves here in the swamps of the Meadowlands,
which now boasts the most expensive stadium ever built in the entire world.
Facility serves a dual purpose, housing two NFL teams, and design
elements allow for a dramatic makeover of the venue, providing two distinct
game day experiences. And yell for the J-E-T-S-, Jets, Jets Jets!

Is anyone shedding a tear for the demise of the Vet? No way! Lincoln
Financial Field has all the ambience  of a great gathering spot, kind of like a
combination of a busy train station and your neighborhood pub. All the
amenities you would want - great seating bowl with awesome sightlines,
scoreboards and LED boards. Nice entrance pavilion at the "Head House" in
the north end, and Phillyfan really packs this place to cheer on their Eagles.

Superb architecture, awesome downtown location amidst a clean, bustling
and vibrant center city. Not just a retractable roof but also a retractable wall
which opens up towards the downtown skyline. The game day experience
here revolves around the many pubs and restaurants within walking distance
to the venue, a so-so tailgate scene which works in a downtown setting, and
lots of entertainment and music just outside the stadium. The Lucas Oil gate
on the north side gives this stadium its "wow" factor.

ARLINGTON , TEXAS
DALLAS COWBOYS
The stunning and jaw dropping architecture and the incredibly massive HD
scoreboard, straddling over 60 yards of territory above the playing surface,
make for a good impression for the first time visitor. The ridiculous costs for
attending a game here, from the outrageous parking fees to the three figure
ticket prices to the expensive concessions, are all massive turnoffs. But
make no mistake, everything is bigger here in Texas, and the Cowboys really
make a splash.

Set in the city's stunning and historic lakefront Park District, Soldier Field has
new life thanks to a $600MM renovation. Wider concourses? Not really. More
restrooms? Umm.. where? But the colonnades work well with the new
design, and the building pays great homage to those who served our country.
Still enough in terms of seating bowl amenities to earn a high spot on the list.

This modern and futuristic stadium looks like something out of "The

the seats makes for one of the nicest seating bowls in the NFL. Food choices
a plenty, and Denver fans pack this place game in and game out. If you have a
ticket, don't be a no-show here, you will get boooed by the fans who did.

combination of all the right things - comfortable seats with great views, two
huge crystal clear jumbotrons, modern fan amenities, great tailgating, rabid
fans who pack the place and great Florida weather. But ahhhhh - that pirate

A downtown setting doesn't allow much in the way of tailgating here. But there
are many other sights and sounds to be experienced at one of the NFL's
newest gems - whether it be walking the warning track at nearby Safeco
Field, the impressive view of downtown from the south end zone. And gosh!
What great architecture in that distinct arched roof. Their vertical video board

With all the glory this franchise has had, one would think that murals, retired

Instead, it's pictures of streetscapes, lots and lots of concession stands, and
huge swaths of club seats. At least they kept the garlic fries.

overlooking the sidelines, two asymmetrical jumbotrons at each end and a
seating area design that is eye-popping and jaw-dropping we would have to
say that this place is our favorite as far as design is concerned. With a few
tons of orange and black paint and brighter concourses this place would
probably earn a spot on top on our list.

not enough just to show up with a Rich Gannon jersey and a Raiders cap. In
order to qualify as RAIDERFAN you must dress and behave in a style that
makes one appear to be something other than human. Silver and Black color
attire required of course and if you even think of wearing colors of the visiting
team in the stadium please enter at your own risk. P.S. Black Hole is in,

VETERANS STADIUM
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

USRT visit: 09/05/1999
"The Vet" was one of those 70s era, dual use cookie cutter stadiums that
didn't serve either sport all that well. Sightlines for football were abysmal, the
building itself did not age very well, and was eventually demolished and
replaced with a baseball stadium on the very same locations, while the
Eagles moved to "The Linc" across the street in time for the 2003 season.
RCA DOME
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

USRT visit 09/25/2000
What was once named the "Hoosier Dome" was a combined football and
convention facility which anchored a growing and bustling downtown
Indianapolis core. With a teflon coated roof, the building served well in harsh
weather conditions. The building was demolished when the Colts moved
into Lucas Oil Field in 2008
TEXAS STADIUM
IRVING , TEXAS
DALLAS COWBOYS

USRT visit 12/30/2001
The most distinctive element of this stadium in Irving, Texas, was its sloped
and angled roof with a giant hole into the center, so, as the locals would say,
"God could watch His team". The building was ahead of its time in terms of
suites and club seating, but the Cowboys eventually moved to their newer
and glitzier home in Arlington in 2009.
SUN DEVIL STADIUM
TEMPE, ARIZONA
ARIZONA CARDINALS

USRT visit  11/18/2001
Primarily home to college football's Arizona State, the NFL Cardinals played
here until their swanky new digs could be built and readied in Glendale. The
Arizona Cardinals actually played here for 17 season before moving to their
new home in time for the 2006 season. The venue is still used by the Sun
Devils.
"OLD" SOLDIER FIELD
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
CHICAGO BEARS

USRT visit 09/24/2000
The original home of the Chicago Bears, with its historic and distinctive
colonnades, actually opened in 1922, and served the team well until the field
closed in 2002. At that point, the entire stadium, save for the west facade,
was demolished, and a modern, spaceship style stadium, the "New" Soldier
Field, open its its staid.
CANDLESTICK PARK
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

USRT visit 12/10/2000
The old home of the San Francisco 49ers was cold, dank, windswept, and
had horrible sightlines for football. The 49ers played here for over four
decades, eventually vacating for their new stadium in Santa Clara.
Candlestick has since been demolished and the sight is being replaced with
a mixed use residential and commercial development.
PONTIAC SILVERDOME
PONTIAC, MICHIGAN
DETROIT LIONS

USRT visit 11/07/1999
Once the Detroit Lions departed after the 2001 season, the Silverdome fell
into disrepair and neglect, although it was used for several events for the
next decade or so. Eventually the building was abandoned and became an
eyesore, and a poster child for how not to repurpose abandoned sports
venues. The building was demolished in 2015.

NEW YORK GIANTS
NEW YORK JETS

USRT visits 09/17/2000 (Jets) and 01/06/2002 (Giants)
The dual purpose home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets
served both teams well, although outside of the state of New York, and has
since been demolished for a newer and fancier stadium at the same
property where the old stadium once stood. Met Life Stadium is now home
for both NFL teams.
MALL OF AMERICA FIELD
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA
MINNESOTA VIKINGS

USRT visit 11/12/2000
Better known as the "Metronome", the downtown Minneapolis stadium was
the home for baseball and football for almost three decades. The Dome was
demolished and a new football stadium is being built on the same site,
albeit with a much larger footprint. The baseball team has moved into Target
Field on the other side of downtown.
EDWARD JONES DOME
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
St. LOUIS RAMS

USRT visit 10/01/2000
A multi purpose football stadium and convention facility, the newish domed
stadium was left in the dust following the 2015 season, when the Rams
simply decided to leave the city and return to Los Angeles, with promises of a
new and glitzy stadium showplace. Missouri taxpayers are on the hook for
the remaining debt service for a now empty stadium.
